As of February 11th, 2009, Sale Type, VOW AVM, VOW Blogs, Send listing to Internet, and Send Address to Internet are mandatory fields in the Matrix.  Agents are required to indicate their listing as Standard Sale, In Foreclosure, Notice of Default, Real Estate Owned, Short Pay /Subject to Lender, Probate Listing, or Auction property.  By default, VOW AVM (Virtual Office Website Automated Valuation Model), VOW Blogs, Send Listing to Internet, and Send Address to Internet are set to “Yes” in Matrix.

If you receive an error message while modifying your listing, you may need to update these fields. Follow these steps to rectify the problem.

1.     Click the Add/Edit tab, select your listing number in “Quick Modify” or type the MLS# and click Modify.

2.     Click the Property Detail Link.

3.     Select a Sale type or select Yes or No for VOW AVM, VOW Blogs, Send Listing to Internet, and Send Address to Internet.

Questions and Answers:

Q.  Why is Sale Type required?

A.  Sale Type helps distinguish the current sale type of the property.  Prior to this change, many agents and brokers were frustrated that listings did not disclose the Sale Type or had a hard time differentiating the listing as a standard sale or distress sale.   As a result, the required Sale Type field helps everyone determine the sale type of the listing.
