On April 2, 2007 the current MLS number format will increase from seven to nine characters.  When searching for a listing by MLS Number, agents will enter two extra characters.

You may notice small formatting changes to reports, displays, CMAs, etc.

·         Listings before April 2, 2007 will not be affected and will maintain their current format

·         Listings after April 2, 2007 will utilize the new format.

Old Format: Association (1-character) Number (6-digits)

New Format: Association (1-character) + Year (2-digits) + Number (6-digits)

New MLS Number Format

For example, a new 2007 Listing for Arcadia could be A07123456, “A” for the Association, “07” for the year, and “123456” for the unique number.
